Women in Technology

When you think of engineering and IT, what springs to mind?

For most people, the answer will be hard hats and construction sites, or working by yourself coding all day.

The reality couldn’t be further from the truth!

The music video for People Grinnin’ by Australian DJ duo Nervo shows how diverse a career in these fields can be. It forms part of the Made By Me campaign.

Made By Me is all about busting the myths surrounding a career in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths), revealing the hidden technology behind everything in our day-to-day lives.

In this day and age, the demand for graduates with skills in engineering and computer science is high, yet Australia is only producing about half of the graduates in this field that it needs.

At ANU, our engineering and computing degrees have been designed with industry to meet the demands of our rapidly advancing world.

We’re looking for problem solvers, innovative thinkers, creative souls and team players to learn more about these 21st century careers, and the impact they have across the world.
