The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science expect to offer a number of Commonwealth Supported Places for domestic students commencing relevant Masters degree.
What is a Commonwealth Supported Place?
A Commonwealth-Supported Place (CSP) can save you more than 50 per cent in graduate study fees. With a CSP you will pay the equivalent of undergraduate fees for your graduate degree.
These places are limited and selection is highly competitive. Not all applicants will be successful.
Our CSP Degrees
Commonwealth Supported Places are available to students in the following graduate coursework degrees from the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science.
- Master of Applied Data Analytics
- Master of Engineering (Digital Systems and Telecommunications)
- Master of Engineering (Mechatronics)
- Master of Engineering (Photonics)
- Master of Engineering (Renewable Energy)
- Master of Computing
Eligibility & Selection
To be eligible for a CSP, you must be a domestic student (Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident holder) and be either:
- a student commencing graduate coursework at the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science; or
- a current graduate coursework student at the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science.
Please note that research based degrees and non-award programs are not eligible programs.
The selection of students will be based purely on academic merit (e.g. past academic performance, level of qualifications: PhD, H1, and Masters).
Successful students are expected to take up their Commonwealth Supported Place in the semester for which it was offered. Applications to defer a CSP will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and should be made in writing to the Dean of the College. Please note that work commitments will not be considered sufficient grounds for deferral of a CSP.
The Commonwealth Supported Place is available for the prescribed duration of the program in which the student initially enrols. Should the student seek to change degrees, the continued availability of a CSP is not guaranteed.
If the student withdraws from their degree the Commonwealth Supported Place is forfeited.
The student is subject to the usual rules of the degree for which they are enrolled.
Student contribution amounts for new and continuing students are assessed in accordance with the amount stipulated by the Government for Commonwealth supported students. More information can be found on ANU Commonwealth supported students website.
Applications have now closed for the next intake.
