Encapsulation for perovskite solar cells and modules

In this project, the student will be developing encapsulation method for perovskite solar cells/modules. Encapsulation is required to protect solar cells/modules against moisture, oxygen and other ambient factors. This is especially true for perovskite solar cells/modules since the perovskite material is very sensitive to those factors. A potential encapsulation method has shown promising results is using polyisobutylene material. Throughout the project, the student is expected to gain more understanding about operation and construction of photovoltaic system. Suitable for honours/undergraduate students with electronics/mechanical engineering background.

Starting date is flexible.
