Project 2: Digitally enhanced interferometry

  • Students will work on a technology for precision laser metrology which uses spread-spectrum techniques similar to those used in the Global positioning system and modern telecommunications networks. This project involves digital signal processing and fiber optic technologies.
  • Target disciplines: Discrete-time signal processing, telecommunications, electrical engineering, digital systems and microprocessors, optical physics, fibre optics
