CFD and radiation characterisitic study of design of novel free falling particle receivers




Free falling particle receivers hold potential to reach high temperatures and can increase the thermal efficiecy of a CSP plant. In the present project, novel designs of the free falling particle receivers will be studied numerically using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In addition, radiation characterisitc study will be carried out using an in-house developed Monte Carlo ray tracing code.
