In 2007, Zohair earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in Palestine, at the top of his class. Subsequently, he worked as a teaching assistant at the same department for two years before winning a scholarship from Hani Qaddumi Scholarship Foundation (HQSF) to study a master’s degree at Imperial College London, UK.

In November 2010, Zohair completed his MSc degree in Communication and Signal Processing with distinction from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering department at Imperial College London, also at the top of his class. There, he was awarded the Department Prize for Outstanding Achievement for his project “Localisation Testbed using Software-Defined Radio”, completed under Prof. Athanassios Manikas.

From January 2012 to May 2014, he was with the University of Luxembourg's SnT center as an early-stage researcher sponsored by an AFR scholarship from FNR (Fonds National de la Recherche - Luxembourg) to pursue research in the field of Interference Cancellation and Synchronization for Broadcasting Satellites.

Since June 2014, he has been with Research School of Engineering (RSEng) at the Australian National University (ANU), where he is pursuing research on signal processing techniques for mobile localization.
