Dr Wen Zhang

Dr Wen Zhang completed her PhD at The Australian National University in 2010. She was an Office of the Chief Executive Postdoctoral Fellow at CSIRO from 2010 to 2012. She is currently a Research Fellow in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at ANU. She has been awarded the ARC DECRA Fellow from 2015-2017.

Research Outline

My research aims to develop a portable breathalyser capable of diagnosing lung cancer. This sensor uses nanoparticles that have been organically functionalised and possess high sensitivy and selectivity towards medically important volatile compounds.
