My research aims at understanding formability and failure behaviour of woven composites under rapid manufacturing techniques. I develope material models to predict forming behaviours of composite materials through extensive characterisation experiments at room and elevated temperatures. I try to develope different criteria for predicting failure and wrinkling onset in composite materials. I incorporate material models and failure/wrinkling criteria into finite element simulations to investigate the accuracy of these predictions based on experimental outcomes.
