I believe engineers are integral to creating inclusive, sustainable and prosperous societies. I'm interested in how we create socio-technically capable engineers of the future to tackle emerging wicked problems and improve the lives of others. My research aims to understand the impact Humanitarian Engineering education has on the way engineers and engineering students think about and engage with users and society. Through our work, we hope to help students apply human-centered principles to their practice, creating appropriate and inclusive solutions wherever they work after graduation. Aside from my research, I am personally interested in how we can increase diversity and inclusion in engineering, and how to incorporate Indigenous knowledge into engineering curriculum.
