Nano-scaled ring resonators for use in meta-material, THz communications and light-trapping applications. Micro-inverters on solar modules systems. Browser-based monitoring of energy and power flow in renewable systems. Solving the key Renewable-Grid Integration problem, called the "Duck Problem".

Research Outline

Recently we have discovered a very sharp, high Q resonance in the sub-wavelength region of loops and rings, which should be useful in meta-materials, THz communications and possibly in modifying the index of refraction of a given material.
