Mad for Media | Workshop one

Did you know 80 per cent of ANU academics who participate in media are contacted by government, industry or partner research institutions after their story is published?

Would you like to know how ANU Media can help you get your research known to the people who matter?

ANU Media is bringing their knowledge and skills to the south side of the creek for a series of media workshops.

This new program offers bespoke training with College specific context. The training sessions provide a good opportunity to connect with ANU Media staff to establish contacts and generate story ideas. It will help you to understand how ANU Media can help you get your story out there and how to make the most of that opportunity.

ANU academics, PHD and HDR students are encouraged to register.

Session 1: Why do media, what are the benefits, what makes a good story and how to begin the process

This session will be delivered by ANU Media's Jo Meehan with guest speaker Ariel Bogle, ABC technology reporter.

Attendees can expect to improve their understanding of the media, learn when to seek opportunities and how to participate in a media interview.

This session is the first of three workshops that will be offered as part of the Mad for Media program. By registering you'll receive notification of future workshops.
