International Women's Day Science in the Pub

It’s International Women’s Day on 6 March, and local scientists are coming to the pub to share their research.

The evening will consist of eight short presentations about the amazing research that is going on here in Canberra, in the relaxed vibe of Smith's Alternative. Hosted by Canberra Science Communication expert Phil Dooley it will be a fun evening with a supportive, sci-curious crowd.

This is a chance to try out creative ways of presenting reasearch. There have been quizzes about planets, stand up about seaweed soup and songs about big data.

It's a free event, sponsored by ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science, National Computing Infrastructure, ANU Research School of Chemistry and ANU Research School of Earth Sciences.

If you’d like to present, please contact philuponscience@gmail.com.

This event includes free presenter training. Expressions of interest from presenters are due by 8 February.
