TechLauncher is an ANU initiative that enables students from any discipline to develop the research and professional skills required to use technology to bring great ideas to life and have a positive impact on our society.

Students work closely with industry professionals, technology experts and entrepreneurs across the ACT to complete projects addressing complex problems in a variety of disciplines and industries, or to create their own start-up enterprises. It is this context and breadth of involvement that provides our students with a deeply engaged and effective learning environment.

How to get involved

You can be involved in TechLauncher in a number of ways.

  • Project Partners – by proposing a project and acting as a client for projects to be undertaken by a team of students over the course of one or two semesters.
  • Tutor or Mentor for a project team – being accessible to project teams throughout the semester to provide feedback and provide general question and/or providing specialised advice specific and assistance on an as-required basis.
  • a guest speaker in our professional development seminars – deliver a one-hour lecture on a topic of value to the students.
