Work Experience Opportunity - Pesce Pty Ltd

A paid work experience opportunity has recently become available at Pesce Pty Ltd in Mawson, ACT. The work experience is will be supervised by a professional engineer.

Position description

The successful candidate will work as an Engineering Assistant, helping with documenting, configuring and testing a large government power monitoring system.

Tasks include:

  • The documenting tasks will involve using word processing, CAD, spreadsheet and XML editing packages to document the detailed specifications of the system
  • The configuration tasks will require using specialist proprietary configuration software to create device configurations based on the detailed design
  • The testing tasks will require using paper and web based test sheets to record the behaviour of the software system to specific test conditions.

The placement will take place from 10/12/2018 - 22/2/2019 (however, the office will be closed for Christmas 21/12/2018 - 07/01/2019). The placement length is flexible and may be extended depending on the student's availability.

Eligibility requirements

  • 3rd/4th year Engineering students.
  • Australian citizenship.
  • GPA > 5.5.
