Untapped Talent Program - Virtual Workshop - 15-19 February 2021

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Untapped Talent Program is focused on identifying, recruiting and training autistic people in a range of roles. In this instance, we are running a virtual one-week Workshop as a learning opportunity for individuals which includes the opportunity to be introduced to potential employment opportunities in the future.

Untapped are working with many clients across Australia and are therefore looking for individuals on the autism spectrum with an interest in IT roles. Roles could be available in Data Analytics, Software Testing, Project Management, Database Administration or Cyber Security.  The Workshop will consist of a range of learning activities to assist in understanding your unique skills. Some tasks may also provide you with some useful and valuable understanding of the various aspects of the workplace and about interacting with fellow co-workers. The Workshop will be conducted virtually using zoom.

The Workshop will be held Monday 15 – Friday 19 February 2021 and the hours required for attendance will be approximately 9:00am – 4:00pm AEST each day (including regular breaks). Attendance at this Workshop is unpaid, and you must be available Monday to Friday to complete all workshop tasks.

You will need to provide your own device (desktop or laptop – note: an iPad or tablet will not be adequate) and have access to a reliable internet service with access to a camera and microphone for full participation in the workshop. You will take part in a number of technical and non-technical learning activities and throughout the week you will have access to a coach who has experience in working with autistic adults in the workplace.

We are now inviting individuals to express interest in being considered for this Workshop.

Please note that it is not a pre-requisite that you have skills in IT-related roles, as successful candidates will receive training as part of any role they might ultimately be offered with one of our clients.
