Unbound Virtual Global Program – Winter Intensive Session

What is Unbound?

Unbound (formerly called Laika Academy) is an Australian-based social enterprise providing innovative educational programs. Our focus is on immersive experiences for university students. We think that the best way to learn is to dive in and explore an issue, a country and a culture.

Overview:

The Unbound Global Social Impact Program is an engaging program connecting students with the Asia Pacific region on real world multidisciplinary projects.

This exciting program has strong links with innovators, social entrepreneurs and leaders across the region, and a chance to learn from and with inspiring role models. With a focus on cultural exchange and group projects, this experience isn’t you usual Zoom course – with cooking classes, global speakers and mentors and a chance to get hands-on with a real project.

This Winter program is delivered online (with the potential for some face-to-face activities, subject to COVID-19 restrictions)

ANU also has a number of New Colombo Plan (NCP) funding scholarships which will effectively provide a full subsidy for participation in the virtual Unbound program (full cost is typically $2,500AUD) for eligible students, excluding tuition fees associated with enrolling into a credit-bearing course in the Winter Session (e.g. ENGN3013/ENGN4221/ etc.)(i.e. standard course tuition fees will apply).

International students (who are not eligible for NCP funding) are also welcome to participate; however, will be required to pay for the cost of the Unbound program, in addition to their ANU Tuition Fees.

NCP Eligibility Requirements:

Students must first apply to Unbound to be accepted onto the program.  All students are then automatically considered for an NCP scholarship.  To be eligible for a scholarship students must be:
