Naval Civilian Engineering Development Program (CEDP)

 

 

Applications are now open for the Naval Civilian Engineering Development Program (CEDP). This intake is suitable for people currently in fourth year or those who have recently completed their degree requirements. As a Naval CEDP participant you will work as a civilian (ie not in uniform) for the Royal Australian Navy providing technical engineering advice in support of current and future ships.

 

Degree types: Engineering (specialising in Naval Architecture, Communications, Chemical, Electronics, Electrical, Materials, Mechatronics, Fire Safety, Software and Cyber related technologies, Systems, Mechanical.)

Location: Initially Canberra (relocation assistance is available if required), opportunity to rotate to another city within Australia for up to 1 year, a possibility of final Sydney position

Intake: February 2020

Program: 3 years – 6 x 6 month rotations

Salary: APS 4: $67,100 pa + 15.4% superannuation. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will advance to APS 6: $80,699 pa + 15.4% superannuation.
