Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer Vacation Program – YanCoal (NSW)

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Yancoal is looking for enthusiastic Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering Undergraduates who are looking for an opportunity to build relationships and learn from industry experts in your chosen field of Engineering. We’re seeking dedicated students looking to gain some practical experience at one of our mine sites located in NSW.   

The program provides 10-12 weeks of paid work experience in our site Maintenance Team. The program will supplement your theoretical knowledge and offer a pathway towards your career in mining.

The program will require you to relocate to the mine site where you will be placed for the 10-12 weeks. The program will commence end of November/start of December and finish mid/end February before University recommences. Accommodation will also be provided to you if your place of residence is not a reasonable commute to the mine site.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidates will demonstrate the following;

  • Current enrollment in a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering qualification
  • Current driver’s license
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
