Junior Software Engineer Position - Wildlife Drones

We've recently secured funding to expand our team and take our innovative technology to the next level. So we're looking for a passionate and self-motivated Software Engineer to work closely with our Senior Software Engineer and Tech team and advance our cutting edge technology.

• Executing full lifecycle software development
• Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Producing specifications and determine operational feasibility

• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Write well-designed, testable code
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Ensure software is updated with latest features

• Experience designing applications for use by end users
• Proficiency in any major programming language
• Willingness to learn new languages and technologies
• Able to describe and use programming patterns to solve problems
• Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (Angular, React, etc)
• Experience with test-driven development
• BSc degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

Bonus points
• Familiar with Rust or C
• Familiar with Electron Apps and TypeScript
• Experience in Science based projects
