IoT @ BIT 2018 COMP2710 China study tour

This Nov-Dec (in our summer break) CS students can enrol in a four-week intensive overseas study tour. You'll stay on campus at Beijing Institute of Technology - one of China's top universities - to study with other students from around Australia and the world. When you get back to Australia, you'll write a research report and give a presentation on the stuff you learned.

Course: COMP2710 - Special Topics in Computer Science

Who: 2nd year (and later) domestic students (Australian citizens, passport required)

Prerequisites: COMP1100 & COMP1110

Dates: four weeks in country (late Nov - late Dec 2018, exact dates TBC), final report due in Feb 2019

Topic: Internet of Things (IoT) with a focus on IT Security

Cost: ~$3200 total for accommodation & board (2k) and airfares (~1000-1200, BYO flights) Financial support provided: $3000 (via reimbursement) Places available: 9 Selection criteria: academic performance and demonstrated interest/experience with Internet of Things
