STUDENT GROUP PROGRAMS - SEMESTER ONE 2017
Offered by the ANU Counselling Centre


All programs are informed by the “Keys to Resilience” ANU research themes of connection, physical health, self-care and cognitive strategies research conducted in 2016

Current, enrolled students at the ANU are eligible to register for the below programs and registration is via the Eventbrite links listed. All our programs are free but you will need to create a log-on with Eventbrite if you do not have one already.
You can visit counselling.anu.edu.au from the 13 February to see detailed information about the programs and click the links online to register. Locations for the programs are detailed in each registration link – please note, not all locations are the same.


Healthy Body, Healthy Mind. 5 week program

You are registering to attend all 5 sessions.
NOTE: this program happens at the same time as Procrastination and Motivation. Please do not double book into both programs.
Wednesdays 12.30pm-1.30pm on the following dates:
1 March: Circuit - ANU Sports Centre
8 March: Introduction to Mindfulness - Carol Beynon ANU Counsellor
15 March: Beginner Boxing - ANU Sports Centre
22 March: Nutrition and Exercise - ANU Health Service Nurse
29 March: Yoga or Stretching Session – ANU Sports Centre
Exercise sessions - held at ANU Sports Centre. Check in at reception Building 19. Wear comfortable clothing, enclosed shoes, bring a towel and a drink bottle.  The intro to mindfulness and nutrition sessions will be run at ANUSA. Upstairs Blg 17 Union Court.

Everyday Mindfulness. 4 week program

Stress and Anxiety Group.   4 week program

You are registering to attend all 4 sessions.   
Thursdays 12pm-1.30pm on the following dates:
27 April, 4 May, 11 May and 18 May  
Presented by Lib O’Neill and Erin Slater.

Social Success Group. 8 week program

You are registering to attend all 9 sessions.
(8 scheduled weeks with a follow up booster session)
Thursdays 2pm- 4pm starting the 9 March. Remaining dates provided at registration appointment.
Presented by the ANU Psychology Clinic and the ANU Counselling Centre.

For ANU Staff and Postgraduate Students only
