Graduate ICT Officer

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 12 months. The program concludes with the opportunity for a further fixed term contract(s) with provision for permanency. This process will remain valid until 18/01/2023.

WA Health currently has up to three (3) positions available in the Graduate Development Program Information Communication Technology Stream.

In this role you will provide solution development, project delivery and operations support in designated Information and Communications Technology (ICT) work areas. This is across either the Department of Health’s Information & System Performance Directorate (ISPD) and/or Health Support Services (HSS). The work will be focusing on data science and visualisation work to solve data centric business problems. The work will involve using data analysis and business intelligence tools and software such as Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, SQL and cloud computing environments. You will also perform routine tasks which contribute to the delivery of service improvement initiatives across the WA Health system.

This role is suited to graduates from any computer science discipline, but particularly those who have studied:

  • Physics
  • Information technology
  • Network/Cyber Security
  • Computer science
  • Mathematics & Statistics
  • Data management
  • Software engineering.
  • Other equivalent discipline or combined degrees 

This pool will be used to fill vacancies for the Graduate Development Program or similar positions as they become vacant.

The Graduate Development Program is a long-standing early career program within the WA health system that seeks to recruit highly motivated and talented university graduates into the public health sector. Since its conception in 2004, the Program has welcomed graduates with a range of academic backgrounds and interests, and has provided them the unique and exclusive opportunity to advance their careers within the WA health system.
