What is the Humanitarian Design Summit?

The Humanitarian Design Summit program is an educational study tour that provides students with professional work experience. Participants will undertake more than 80 hours of full-time engineering work experience over two weeks in India. Students will undertake a team design project in conjunction with Indian community partners.

What will you gain from this experience?

Participants will expand their design and development knowledge while engaging in an overseas educational experience. Participants will also build an understanding of effective development goals, such as participation, empowerment, and capacity building.

Travel dates

The program will run from 5th February 2018 to 18th February 2018.

Scholarships

CECS is fortunate to again have NCP Scholarship Funding available for eligible domestic students to attend the Summit in India and who either enrol on ENGN4520 and/or complete the Summit as part of ENGN3100 requirements.
