There are 5 placements on offer from PwC.

The PwC Internship is a paid part-time or full-time placement with a minimum expectation of three days a week for 6 months.  Flexible working arrangements are possible and negotiable on a case by case basis. Students will receive 12 units credit for Computing Internship. This internship could lead to a future full-time or a graduate opportunity with PwC. 

Project - Technology Consulting - PwC Internship

You will work within a PwC engagement team which will expose you to a broad range of opportunities to learn and develop both your soft and hard skills by applying them in a real-world environment.

We often go out to market with multidisciplinary teams so you will have a chance to work with and learn from experts in a range of skills within Technology, Strategy, Finance, People Management and more.

Your duties as a core part of the engagement team will range across project delivery and management where you will have the opportunity to contribute to:

  • Drafting project artefacts
  • Drafting technical artifacts
  • Developing and presenting visual reports internally to the team and clients
  • Analysis and problem solving activities
  • Organising workshops, meetings and other events
  • Providing feedback and playing an active role in incremental improvements to team productivity and quality

Our preference is for technology and Information related courses, however experience of our clients and team members is at the core of how to go to market and what differentiates us. So we are also open to the right candidates with diverse backgrounds in Engineering (Non IT), Law, Business and Commerce who are open to exploring their core skills in a technology context.

Required/preferred professional and other skills

Your skills will need to include:

  • Understand and contextualise basic technical concepts
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in written form
  • Manage competing priorities and raise concerns in a timely fashion
  • Build meaningful relationships with the engagement team and our clients
  • Address conflicts in a calm and professional manner
  • You must be eligible and willing to apply for an Australian Government Security Clearance and client specific training as required.
  • Applications are open to students in their final or penultimate year who are Australian citizens (for security clearance purposes).

How to apply

Applications are invited from eligible students to apply for the Computing Internship courses COMP3280 or COMP8830. Eligibility details of COMP3280COMP8830 and further information about the Computing Internship can be found on the Computing Internship page

  1. Eligible students can apply through the Computing Internship application form which will be available via the Computing Internship page between 10 May and 17 May. You can nominate multiple preferred Internship projects and host organisations through the one online application form. 
  2. Eligibility and Room Available in degree to undertake COMP3280/COMP8830 will be assessed at the time of application.  If you do not meet the eligibility criteria or do not have room in your degree to fit COMP3280/COMP8830, your application will not be progressed.
  3. Your application will require you to upload the following documents:
  • an updated copy of your Resume, and
  • an Expression of Interest (limit 350 words) for each organisation you wish to apply to (for organisations with multiple projects only submit one Expression of Interest but state clearly which project/s you wish to be considered for).
