Project 2: Develop an AI model

Develop an AI model to examine metadata and unstructured data sources, report on insights, and recommend improvements in value capture.

Required technical skills

.NET web platform. SQL code

Required/preferred professional and other skills

  • Understanding of current software protocols and standards.

• Experience working with Web based platforms.

• Knowledge of database development techniques and practices.

• Experience working in agile development environment.

• Sound written and verbal communications skills adaptable for various stakeholders.

• Sound planning, time management and prioritisation skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Drive, enthusiasm and a proactive nature who is passionate about identifying opportunities for continuous software improvement.

• Technical experience in:

o C# / .NET Framework / .NET Core

o Entity Framework

o SQL Server / T-SQL

o Javascript / JQuery

o CSS / HTML

o MVC / Web API

o Client Front End frameworks e.g. React & KnockoutJS

o GIT / DevOps.

Delivery Mode

Project can be undertaken in-person only.

Student location

This project is open only to students residing in Canberra at the time of the internship. 

Eligibility

  • Intern requires Australian citizenship with full Australian working rights
  • Intern requires Police Check

Applications are invited from eligible students to apply for the Computing Internship courses COMP3280 or COMP8830. Eligibility details and further information about the Computing Internship can be found on the Computing Internship page

1. Students must first seek confirmation of eligibility by submitting an Eligibility and Room Available in degree check.  

2. Eligible students can then apply through the Computing Internship application form. You can nominate multiple preferred Internship placements through the one application form. 

3. Your application will require you to upload the following documents:

  • an updated copy of your Resume, and
  • an Expression of Interest (limit 350 words) for each organisation you wish to apply to (for organisations with multiple projects only submit one Expression of Interest but state clearly which project/s you wish to be considered for).

Applications open on 4 December and close on Thursday 9 December 10am AEDT (Canberra time).
