The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science comprises two world class research schools.
The ANU Research Schoolf Engineering is a creative mix of staff and students that embrace the breadth of engineering research and professions. Our research is broad, spanning solar thermal energy technologies; biomaterials; robotics; signal processing; manufacturing and communications engineering.
The School has a strong relationship with National ICT Australia (NICTA) and CSIRO, as well as research partnerships with industries including TransGrid, Chromasun in the United States and Trina Solar in China.
The ANU Research School of Computer Science offers programs that combine knowledge and understanding of computer science and technology, with experiential learning for skills development.
Our research is concentrated in artificial intelligence, software systems and interactions, theory, logic and computation. We work closely with NICTA and the Computational Informatics division of CSIRO. We are also actively engaged with the National Computational Infrastructure facility, which is located on campus and is home to Australia’s largest supercomputer.
