You can study more than one major, meaning you could enjoy a career in the aeronautical and civil industries. Professional AccreditationThe Bachelor of Engineering is accredited with Engineers Australia. In addition to your Australian accreditation, your ANU degree will also enable you to practice in a number of other contries through the 'Washington Accord'. These include: The USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Africa, Germany*, Singapore*, Malaysia* and Japan*. * provisional members of the Washington Accord Double your career Choices...Apart from its outstanding national and international reputation, and quality of its degrees, one of the attractive features of ANU is the ability to undertake a 'combined degree'. Generally this means one additional year of study to graduate with two degrees. Why would you do this?
Programs for High Achieving studentsThe Australian National University has developed a number of elite degrees for high achieving students in the last few years. These flexible, research-orientated programs are for students with a UAI (or equivalent) of 98+. Some of these programs are called PhB's (such as PhB Science or PhB Arts). Engineering offers the Bachelor of Engineering (Research and Development) Bachelor of Engineering (Research and Development)/ Bachelor of Science What do I do if I miss the cut-off?Students whose UAI's are slightly lower than the cut-off may be eligible for special consideration or maths bonus points. Our Special Consideration scheme allows students to provide evidence of a particular ability and aptitude in the area they wish to study and up to five bonus UAI points may be awarded for very good performance in year 12 maths.
