Module G: Policy Processes and Information

Module Description

This course will cover the following topics:

1. the policy process
2. varieties and sources of public information
3. information in political discourse
4. information in policy-making
5. policy-making about information
6. the political context of policy-making
7. informing the public and the role of the media

Structure

The course will consist of three, four-hour sessions including a flexible mixture of formal presentations, workshops and discussions. The final hour will involve a brief assessment exercise.
